By Dr. Yaya Diamond

Attorney and author D.W. Duke joins me on Dream Chasers Radio to discuss The Last Prophecy: A Novel of Faith, Love, and Destiny — and a body of biographical novels that bring little-known history to life.

Duke explains how law school and a love of constitutional law shaped his storytelling, why he writes biographical novels instead of history books, and how the stories his grandmother and great-grandmother told him opened his eyes to slavery, discrimination, and the friendships that crossed those lines. His message runs through everything he writes: we are all human, all connected.

We also talk about The Golden Chalice, historical injustice and resistance, the fight for freedom, and his hope of bringing these stories to the screen.

D.W. Duke's books, including The Last Prophecy, are available on Amazon.
