By Dr. Yaya Diamond

Songwriter M S Reasoner joins me on Dream Chasers Radio — from the cab of his truck — for one of the most fascinating career stories on the show.

Reasoner worked NASA satellite command control at Goddard Space Flight Center, sending commands to spacecraft moving 15,000 miles an hour, and later served in the Laser Tracking Network. Today he is a poet, songwriter, producer, and owner of his own label, 18 Wheels Music — and a tractor-trailer driver who writes wherever he can, because as he puts it, music makes the rest of life bearable.

He talks about writing poetry for some 42 years, his 2022 collection Looking at You Sideways — poems of loss and love, including "The Ghosts in the Trees" — and how a life in space technology and a life in music fit in the same man.
